SEVENTEEN debuted on May 26, 2015 under Pledis Entertainment (now under HYBE). The 13-member group is uniquely divided into three sub-units: Hip-hop (S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon), Vocal (Woozi, Jeonghan, Joshua, DK, Seungkwan), and Performance (Hoshi, Jun, The8, Dino). SEVENTEEN self-produces and self-choreographs their music, embodying an industry-unique creative self-sufficiency. Their name represents 13 members + 3 subunits + 1 team = 17. They have sold over 20 million albums globally, making them one of the best-selling K-pop acts of all time.
