Korean-AmericanBiography
Teddy Park (박홍준) is one of K-pop's most successful producers and songwriters, credited with shaping the signature sound of YG Entertainment. Born in Los Angeles and raised in South Korea, Teddy began his career as a rapper in the 1st generation hip-hop group 1TYM before transitioning to production. He has produced virtually every major YG release since 2006, including BIGBANG's "Lies," 2NE1's "Lonely," BLACKPINK's "DDU-DU DDU-DU," "Kill This Love," "How You Like That," and "Shut Down." Teddy is known for his hip-hop influenced production with memorable hooks, and his ability to capture the distinct voices of his artists. His production style often features confident female rap, layered electronic production, and deceptively simple but sticky melodic hooks. He was a founding member of The Black Label, YG's creative subsidiary.
