About Red Velvet
Red Velvet debuted under SM Entertainment on August 1, 2014 with the single "Happiness." The five-member group (Irene, Seulgi, Wendy, Joy, Yeri) introduced a "dual concept" approach: bright, energetic "Red" music and darker, sophisticated "Velvet" music. This duality allowed them to chart across wildly different sonic territories. "Red Flavor" and "Power Up" defined their poppy Red side, while "Psycho" and "Be Natural" showcased their Velvet sophistication. They are considered one of SM's most artistically diverse acts.
